課程簡介（以100至200字為原則）：

本課程目的在於增加學生英文字彙能力與閱讀技巧。藉由不同主題的文章，學生在閱讀中先學習分析英文單字的字根，包括字首與字尾，接著將它們應用於其他的文章。此外，學生也將逐漸熟習句型和文法，並感受不同的文化經驗，有助於學生正確及有效地找出文章主題與瞭解整篇文章的意義。

Brief Introduction of Course Contents：

This course is designed to enhance students’ vocabulary-building skills and reading strategies in English. Students will be introduced to articles on different subjects; and they will learn how to analyze the roots, including the prefix and suffix, of the individual word in a text, and then apply them to the words in other reading materials. Besides, students will also get familiar with sentence patterns and grammar, and experience culture differences, in order to identify, correctly and efficiently, the main idea and understand the whole article.
