1. 闡釋生涯的起源、意義、特性、發展階段、困境與轉型等認識生涯發展的基本理論。 2. 協助同學認識自我、瞭解就業市場的需求動態,對各行各業有所了解,知己知彼、百戰百勝。 3. 職場態度與職業倫理決定個人成功與否之重要因素,建立學生要有守法、守時、自愛愛人、自尊尊人、自助助人、自立立人等基本生活態度。 4. 輔導學生能樂在工作、持續成長,以及具備壓力管理、解決問題能力,邁向有意義的人生。

Brief Introduction of Course Contents:
1. With the interpretation of origin, meaning, property, dilemma and transform of career, students can learn the basic theories of career development. 2. The first important thing of career plan is to explore oneself by self-examination, test and the reflection of society. 3. The course emphasizes on realizing the trend of job market. After understanding all professions, one can connect one’s future plan and outside world. 4. Except the professional knowledge of career development, this course also encourages students to establish the positive attitude toward their lives.

Comfort: Comfort is the ability to assess appropriate social, emotional, and physical distance in verbal and non-verbal interactions with others and to have a positive impact on others. Commitment Ethic: Commitment ethic is the ability to complete tasks, projects, assignments, and personal responsibilities in a dependable and successful manner, even in difficult circumstances (Nelson & Low, 2003). Decision Making: Decision making is the ability to plan, formulate, initiate, and implement effective problem solving procedures (Nelson & Low, 2003). Deference: Deference is a measure of the degree to which an individual employs a communication style of pattern that is indirect, self-inhibiting, self-denying, and ineffectual for the accurate expressions of thoughts, feelings, or behaviors (Nelson & Low, 2003).
