課程簡介（以100至200字為原則）：

對參與拉丁美洲學程之學生而言，不僅僅需修習該區域的母語西班牙文(巴西例外)，也應該對拉丁美洲政治發展有一個初步的認識與瞭解。拉丁美洲位處北美洲美國的下方，即中美洲加上南美洲合稱為拉丁美洲，大部分的國家屬於發展中國家，整體經濟實力不夠強，但區域政治的重要性卻不可輕忽。此外，拉丁美洲在歷史上曾為我中華民國邦加重鎮之所在，更值得我們加以探討與研究 。
 

Course Title：	Political Development in Latin America

Brief Introduction of Course Contents：

For students participating in Latin American studies, they are not only required to learn Spanish, the native language of the region (with the exception of Brazil), but also should have a preliminary understanding of the political development of Latin America. Latin America is located below the United States in North America, that is, Central America plus South America are collectively called Latin America. Most countries are developing countries and their overall economic strength is not strong enough, but the importance of regional politics cannot be ignored. In addition, Latin America has historically been where the Republic of China has the largest number of diplomatic countries, and is more worthy of our discussion and reserach.
